help Frequently Asked Questions
How do I restore my Premium purchase?
To restore your Premium subscription on iOS or Android, open Spendsible, navigate to Settings, scroll down to the subscription/billing panel, and tap Restore Purchases. This will verify your App Store or Play Store purchase receipt and apply the entitlement to your active profile.
Where is my data stored?
Spendsible is built local-first. By default, all your transactions, accounts, and budgets are stored securely in a local database on your device. We do not transmit this data. If you choose to enable Cloud Sync (Premium feature) by signing in, your data is securely backing up and synchronised across your devices using Google Firebase.
How do I delete my account and erase my data?
If you want to erase all data on your device, go to Settings > Erase All Data. If you have signed in and enabled Cloud Sync, you can permanently delete your cloud account and all backup copies of your financial data by tapping Delete Account in the Settings screen. This action is irreversible and cascades through our database, deleting your user document, transactions, and analytics from all servers.
Can I export my financial data?
Absolutely! Spendsible does not lock your data. You can export your transaction history to a CSV file at any time by going to Settings > Export Data. This file can be used in spreadsheet software or other financial tools.
How does recurring transaction auto-detection work?
Spendsible analyzes your logs for similar recurring transaction patterns (same amount/category/dates). Once a pattern is confirmed, Spendsible prompts you to save it as a recurring rule. From then on, future occurrences are auto-scheduled so you always have an accurate projection of your future account balances.
